Overseas Students Health Cover
All overseas students are required to have Overseas Students Health Cover (OSHC) for the entire duration of their student visa. Overseas students will be charged an additional fee for OSHC. AHC – Training Package Qualification
Applicants must have completed Australian year 11 or equivalent overseas qualifications, and be 18 years or older.
Overseas applicants are required to demonstrate English language proficiency. For complete details please refer to entry requirements.
Students with low English language proficiency will be required to undertake an appropriate ESL/ELICOS course to meet the entry requirements at ICT.
Local applicants will be assessed individually based on the relevant work experience, skills, knowledge and aptitude to undertake the course.
Face to face classroom and practical training
Assessment methods may include the following:

- written exam
- practical exam
The AHC40416 Certificate IV in Horticulture qualifies individuals who apply broad range of specialised knowledge and skills in varied contexts to undertake skilled work and as a pathway for further learning. Graduates at this level have broad factual, technical and some theoretical knowledge of a specific area or a broad field of work and learning. AHC40416 Certificate IV in Horticulture includes classroom and practical training to develop cognitive, technical and communication skills in management of the environment, staff, budget, farm machinery, irrigation, propagation, plant nutrition, harvesting and work health and safety (WHS) etc.
On successful completion of this course you will be awarded with AHC40416 Certificate IV in Horticulture.
Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency within this Qualification will receive a Statement of Attainment.
Further training pathways from this qualification include, but are not limited to, AHC50416 Diploma of Horticulture.
Expected Employment Outcome example This qualification allows individuals to develop post-trade skills and knowledge across a broad coverage of the industry prior to undertaking higher roles. Job titles may include Senior horticulturist and horticulture team leader etc.
Note: Completion of an ICT course does not guarantee an employment outcome.
